Shred of the Week: SmartFeed™

With most two shaft shredders, both shafts turn at their full speed all the time. The shredder must have enough torque to process all the material, or the shredder will overload and reverse. With SSI's new, patented SmartFeed™ technology, materials fed into the cutters are controlled automatically, allowing even small shredders to process a wide variety of materials that otherwise would have been unshreddable.
