With many successful customers operating around the world, SSI has found the best electronics scrap processing system design philosophy is to employ machinery to separate commodities at the first point they become marketable, at the highest capacity possible, and refine high value materials after initial separation. Automated Deconstruction - “Nutcracker” System

SSI PRI-MAX® technology can be used to reduce bulky, difficult to process materials such as copiers, printers, telecom and medical scrap to the point where solid metal items and high value sub components can be easily harvested prior to further processing.

Automated Recovery Systems

PRI-MAX®, Dual-Shear® and Quad® technologies all have a place in systems designed to process and separate materials into marketable commodity fractions. SSI Quad® shredders are found at the center of these operations, and systems are offered in a modular format so customers can add processes over time as their business develop.

Printed Circuit Boards

More and more processors, refiners and collectors are looking to downsize and “sample” their circuit boards. Quad® shredders are commonly used to perform these tasks, and SSI offers a range of unique features on these shredders to help meet customer needs.

Product Destruction

Dual-Shear® shredders are often used by manufacturers, processors and collectors to destroy and downsize materials that have reached the end of their product lifecycle.

“50/50” Ferrous Recovery Systems

Dual-Shear® shredders equipped with SSI’s patented SmartFeed™ system are available in unique system configurations developed to process the “dirty ferrous” materials generated in many automated recovery systems and liberate ferrous and non-ferrous metals in that fraction to the extent possible.
